The FIU Student Ambassadors raise awareness and necessary funds to support FIU students through the Panther Protection Fund, which serves as a safety net for FIU students- it is the student emergency fund of FIU. Due to the Pandemic, many students are finding it difficult to pay for their rent, utilities or tuition. The Panther Protection Fund has helped thousands of students, but there is still more work to be done. The FIU Student Ambassadors are hard at work, bringing awareness and raising funds to help students in need, now due to COVID-19.
This fund existed before the pandemic and has helped thousands of students who may have encountered unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable emergency expenses surrounding situations such as accidents, illness, death of a family member, fire damage or need for temporary housing.
